IBS hosted an informational open house for the residents of nearby neighbourhoods about the Sports Centre Redevelopment Project. The open house provided details about the impact of the infrastructural changes on their neighbourhoods as well as the importance of the project on sports tourism. Residents had the opportunity to see charettes of new road layouts and speak directly with National Security Minister and M.P. for Mount Moriah, the Hon. Tommy Turnquest, Minister of Youth, Sports & Culture, the Hon. Charles Maynard and Mr. Tyrone Sawyer, Director of Sports Tourism Development, Bahamas Ministry of Tourism & Aviation.
