Breezes SuperClubs Wastewater Treatment Plant

IBS was the Engineer of Record for the construction of a new wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) for Breezes SuperClubs , a deluxe, all-inclusive resort. Our team partnered with Florida Aquastore to design, install and commission the new plant equipment. IBS also conducted local compliance reviews, handled the permitting and approvals process with the Water & Sewerage Corporation, performed construction quality control site visits and was the liaison with the independent engineers hired by Breezes to confirm final approval of the plant.
Cape Eleuthera Utility Compound

Cape Eleuthera Resort and Marina is located on the southernmost tip of the island of Eleuthera. IBS helped increase the capacity of its independent utility infrastructure with design services for the community utility plant, including potable water storage tanks, a new wastewater treatment plant, and an operations building which housed the power generators and a reverse osmosis plant. Our team also supported the development team during the permitting process and throughout the construction and commissioning phases of the plant.
New Providence Waste Water Management Masterplan

The Water and Sewerage Corporation partnered with the International Development Bank to implement a groundbreaking project that would streamline the waste water collections and treatment operations on the island of New Providence. The New Providence Wastewater Masterplan project connects local sewer networks into new master pump stations that transfer sewerage to regional treatment plants. The project includes four pump station locations: Flamingo Gardens, Malcolm Park, Lynden Pindling Airport and Fox Hill.
Flamingo Gardens Wastewater Pumping Station

The Flamingo Gardens Pump Station is comprised of a two-story reinforced concrete facility with sewerage pumps, holding tanks and primary level treatment equipment. IBS partnered with Israeli water resources specialty firm HGM to prepare a sewerage masterplan for New Providence and design the associated pump stations.
Malcolm Park Wastewater Pumping Station

The Malcolm Park Pump Station includes a three-story reinforced concrete facility with sewerage pumps, holding tanks and primary level treatment equipment. Located in close proximity to the coastline, two-thirds of the structure is located below sea level, increasing the complexity of the design and construction process due to water tightness and buoyancy considerations. The site was also a live wastewater deposit area which needed to be kept functional until the pump station was commissioned.
Lynden Pindling Airport Wastewater Pumping Station

The Lynden Pindling International Airport pump station is a spilt level, reinforced concrete facility with sewerage pumps, holding tanks and primary level treatment equipment. The IBS design team faced site-specific challenges such as its location near the entrance of the country’s largest and busiest airport and the requirement that the existing, on-site, live wastewater plant needed to be kept functional until the new pump station was commissioned.
Fox Hill Wastewater Screening Plant and Pump Station

The Fox Hill Pump Station is an elevated, single-story, reinforced concrete facility with sewerage pumps, holding tanks and primary level treatment equipment. In addition to serving as a pump station, the Fox Hill site provides mechanical screening for the sewerage stream before pumping to the regional plant.
North Eleuthera Reverse Osmosis Plant

General Electric Water Resources division, now Suez Water engaged IBS to assist with the design of a new 600,000 gallon-per-day reverse osmosis plant, an essential infrastructure component for the expanding North Eleuthera district. The GE engineers designed the water production components of the plant while IBS handled the structural and building services designs for the new facility. IBS also permitted the building drawing set and provided support services during construction of the plant.
Over Yonder Cay Reverse Osmosis Plant

Over Yonder Cay (OYC) is a privately-owned, luxury residential community located in the Exuma chain of islands. OYC is powered primarily by solar and wind electricity generation systems. Given the remote nature of the Cay, it was necessary to install completely independent utility infrastructure, including water production. IBS teamed up with water system suppliers to design an efficient reverse osmosis plant to supply the water production and storage needs for the entire cay.
