Nick Dean

Director of Risk Management and Resiliency

Nick Dean is a qualified civil and structural engineer with over 25 years of experience in the engineering, project management and construction fields. He has designed and managed a wide range of high-profile projects including exclusive resorts, public infrastructure and luxury private residences, developing a broad network of world-renowned, specialized industry professionals. Nick holds an undergraduate degree in applied sciences from Acadia University and in civil engineering from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

Chris Wells 

Managing Director

Chris Wells leads our structural design and consulting team, spearheading the conceptual design stages and managing production efforts. He also handles quality assurance for structural and offshore projects, and led the training of the structural team in the use of cutting-edge structural analysis and modeling software. A licensed contractor, Chris has over fifteen years of experience as a design consultant and project manager. He is a keen
designer with a passion for functional, cost-effective and creative designs. Chris obtained his engineering degree from the University of South Florida where he graduated cum laude.

Cedenyo Pratt P.E., PMP

Director of Operations

Cedenyo Pratt’s extensive experience as a versatile engineer and project manager makes him an invaluable member of the IBS family and a mentor to our production team. In addition to his invaluable experience from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works in Los Angeles, California and several landmark construction projects in The Bahamas, Cedenyo has studied the design of marinas, ports and coastal systems extensively as a passion project. He earned his civil engineering degree from the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.

Abi Aghayere Ph.D., P.Eng.

Director of Quality Assurance

Dr. Abi Aghayere is a well-respected expert with more than three decades of experience as an academic and practicing consulting engineer. His areas of expertise encompass wood design, reinforced concrete design, structural steel design, masonry design, structural failure analysis, and retrofitting of existing structures. He has authored several engineering and design textbooks, including Reinforced Concrete Design, Structural Steel Design and Structural Wood Design. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Lagos in Lagos, Nigeria, a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Alberta in Alberta, Canada.

Andrew Fry

Director of Project Management

Andrew Fry is a seasoned and qualified quantity surveyor with extensive knowledge in hospitality developments, private resorts, luxury home construction, and major infrastructure projects.  With over three decades of experience in cost estimating, project management, and development management, Andrew has worked on projects throughout the United Kingdom, the Middle East, the Caribbean, and North America.  He has completed a considerable number of projects throughout the Bahamian Islands with a special focus in managing developments on remote islands and cays.

Andrew completed his professional surveying qualifications at Newcastle Polytechnic and the College of Estate Management in England.
