Two Decades
of Expertise and
Industry Leadership
IBS is a Bahamian engineering and project management services company that is committed to designing stronger communities. We provide sound engineering expertise to create the infrastructure for liveable cities. Over the past two decades we have successfully delivered some of the most iconic projects in the region.
The effects of climate change like extreme storm events, sea level rise and elevated storm surge require a new way of thinking about engineering design.
At IBS we use state-of-the art engineering and best practices for resiliency in our designs, often exceeding the requirements of the current local and international building codes. Our team continuously works to understand the influence of climate change on the built environment and strives to develop adaptable designs that minimize impact and reduce recovery time. From infrastructure system designs to coastal and structural designs, we are committed to the performance of our projects for the duration of their useful life.

Designing for the Future of Tourism
Baha Mar Resort
IBS partnered with leading global structural design firm Thornton Tomasetti during the design phase of Baha Mar, a $4.2 billon luxury resort that is transforming the tourism industry in The Bahamas.
Sustainable Planning for Growing Populations
NP Wastewater Treatment
IBS provided the Bahamas Water and Sewerage Corporation with a sustainable solution for wastewater collection and treatment for the island of New Providence. New Providence is the most heavily populated island of The Bahamas and home to Nassau, the nation’s capital. Together with Adin Holdings , an Israeli water resources consulting company, we developed a masterplan for success.
Doing Good for Our Community
At IBS we believe that no company is an island. Success is the result of resilience, collaboration and paying it forward. That’s why we give back to our community by donating to local charities and helping to develop the next generation of engineers. For over a decade, high school students from more than twenty schools throughout The Bahamas have participated in the IBS Build-a-Bridge Challenge, the country’s only bridge building competition.
